This Privacy Policy explains how Campus Bites and BadgerBites (the apps and this website, together the Services) collect, use, and protect your information. We try to collect as little as possible and to be clear about what we do with it.
Who we are
Campus Bites and BadgerBites are independent student projects that help college students browse dining hall menus, track nutrition, and plan meals. The Services are not affiliated with, authorized, or endorsed by any university, university housing program, or Nutrislice.
Information we collect
From the waitlist on this website:
- Email address.
- University or school name, when you provide it.
- Which product you are interested in, such as Campus Bites or BadgerBites.
- Phone platform preference (iPhone or Android).
- Android beta testing interest, when you select Android.
- Basic link attribution (UTM parameters such as source, medium, and campaign).
From the BadgerBites app, if and when you use it:
- Account information you provide to sign up, such as your email address.
- Preferences you set, such as nutrition goals, meal choices, and dietary filters.
- Meals you log inside the app, so the app can show your daily progress.
How we use your information
- To run the core features, such as saving your preferences and showing your logged meals.
- To send waitlist, product, and launch updates.
- To decide which campuses to support first.
- To prioritize which mobile platform to build and recruit Android beta testers.
- To understand which channels bring people to the Services so we can improve them.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to serve third-party ads.
How your information is stored and shared
We use trusted service providers to operate the Services, including Supabase for our database and authentication and Vercel for website hosting. Your information is stored on their infrastructure and is accessed only to run and improve the Services. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the Services and the people who use them.
Menu data
Dining hall menu and nutrition information shown in the Services comes from publicly available dining menus. We do not share your personal information with those menu sources, and nutrition values may not be exact. The Services are not medical or nutritional advice.
Your choices
- You can unsubscribe from waitlist or product emails using the link in any email we send.
- You can ask us to delete your waitlist entry, or your app account and its associated data, at any time by contacting us at the address below.
Children
The Services are intended for college students and others who are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date shown at the top of this page.
